The <\/b>Hecate G2000 Pro<\/i><\/b> speakers offer surprisingly strong sound in a very small package.<\/b><\/h5>\n

I\u2019ve long been content with the speakers on my PC monitor (an AOC G2490, since you asked) simply due to space and my not wanting to make too much noise whilst gaming. But now that I’ve given the <\/span>Hecate G2000 Pro<\/span><\/i> speakers a go, I don\u2019t think I can go back to being quite so basic.<\/span><\/p>\n

Whilst Hecate do offer larger speakers with stronger sound output, these offer surprisingly powerful sound for such a small form factor of 12 x 16 x 12cm apiece. The output is incredibly clear and sharp too, which is somewhat game changing when going from my basic speakers. There\u2019s an inclusion of 7.1 virtual surround sound, which is a nice feature. Whilst I can\u2019t comment on how it would compare to true 7.1, playing games certainly highlighted how much situational awareness I\u2019d been lacking previously.<\/span><\/p>\n

There are lots of light settings available, including sound reactive ones.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Obviously you get plenty of connection options, with USB-A and USB-C being fairly standard, alongside the good old fashioned 3.5mm jack. The Bluetooth connection is good too, with little difficulty setting it up. Tapping the power button cycles between which type of input you\u2019ll be using, so you can have a bluetooth connection and a USB connection at the same time whilst being able to change them at a moment\u2019s notice.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

I particularly liked the USB option though, as being connected to a PC allows you to make use of the downloadable app to tinker with all sorts of different sound settings. Whilst I won\u2019t claim to have a clue what I\u2019m doing, the inclusion is certainly nice. You can really turn the bass up on these things if you want to.<\/span><\/p>\n

In addition, you can mess around with RGB lighting options too. The clear sides on the <\/span>Hecate G2000 Pro<\/span><\/i> show a number of lighting strips that really make them look the part when setup how you want them. You get block colour and rainbow options, along with the really fun heartbeat choice that reacts to sound input. If I had to make a complaint, it\u2019s that I couldn\u2019t find a way to turn down the brightness on them, so that heartbeat mode was a bit overbearing when playing a game, but it\u2019s pretty fun when you\u2019re listening to music and they\u2019re at a greater distance. Other than that, the look of these speakers is fantastic, and they would act as something of a neat centrepiece to a carefully thought out gaming setup.<\/span><\/p>\n

They certainly look sleek.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Whilst certainly not the cheapest on the market, the <\/span>Hecate G2000 Pro<\/span><\/i> is absolutely fantastic as a small scale PC speaker option. Great sound and an excellent look come together to really elevate a gaming space, and I\u2019m going to be making good use of them for a long time to come.<\/span><\/p>\n
